SatPC32 for WINDOWS by DK1TB, Version 12.8b (Download version + CD)
Order no.: 119a, € 60.00

The programs SatPC32.Exe and Wisat32.Exe calculate the tracks of Earth orbiting satellites. Both programs are included in the SatPC32 program package. The calculations are based on the SGP4/SDP4 model, the results therefore are highly accurate.

From version 12.3 on antennacontrol can run in flip mode if the satellite will go overhead. More radios which can be controlled by SatPC32 have been added. The tool "TxController", which has worked with YAESU radios only can now also control Icom and Kenwood radios. That allows combining radios of different brands, e.g. YAESU half duplex with Icom IC-706MKIIG or Icom IC-R20 with a Yaesu radio as TX. When using Spacce-Track TLE files as source for Kepler data, SatPC32 will now automatically replace the Space-Track names through the usual AMSAT names. In addition there is a new tool called "SatRename". This creates from Space-Track files new kepler files in which the the AMSAT names are used. From version 12.4 on you can download keps direct from the Internet and the automatic Internet updating of Keplerian data files has been simplified in Version 12.5.

SatPC displays the footprints of one or several selected satellites up to 12 on a map of the world in 2D or in 3D and shows the results in text below the map. Arrows can be displayed in the footprints to show into which direction the satellites move. With previous versions the program showed the AOS times of  the satellites below and within the world map. The program  now additionally shows the max. elevation of the next pass. Wisat represents the satellite positions in real time in the form of a list. The differences between SatPC and Wisat results from the absence of the graphic output in Wisat.

SatPC32 and Wisat32 steer the antennas and radio frequencies (CAT) for Doppler correction. The automatic Doppler correction also works with SSB transponders such as those on FO-20, FO-29, AO-10, and AO-40. New functions have been added to the CAT menu: The frequency entries of SSB satellites in the Doppler.SQF file now can easily be optimized for your rig. To do that you don't need to edit the file manually. Using the right frequency entries is most important to hear your own signal immediately back when you select the satellite. Another new function will help you to find your dowlink signal very easily and without tuning around. This function is particularly helpful for AO-40 operation. Also activating of subaudible tonsquelch for SO-50 or similar stallites can be done automatically.

Both programs allow multitasking with programs that provide data transfer with satellites like Wisp32. SatPC32 and Wisat32 take over control of antenna pointing and frequency tuning. Automatic switching between satellites works in sync with the data transfer program.

The antenna-control steers the AMSAT Rotor Interface and the ready-appliance IF-100. Unfortunately, these interfaces are no longer available . The programs also support Egis rotors , the Kansas City Tracker /Tuner (KCT), the Yaesu interface GS-232 (and compatibles), RIF-PC of Orbitronic , WinRotor32 of Funkbox , ARS of EA4TX and HaSi of DB3DH . For these devices driver-programs are included (or are delivered with the hardware), which take the data for rotor- and CAT control via DDE from the main-programs SatPC32 and Wisat32.Supports also FodTrack and Uni_TRAC. Version 12.2 also supports the combination Labjack U12/PiggyBackof NLSA, and the W0LMD-Tracker (Mini, Junior, Senior). Now also the 450° rotor G-5500 is supported.

Radio control works with the Yaesu transceivers FT-736R and FT-847, and since version 12.2 also FT-817, FT-857 and FT-897, the Kenwood transceivers TS-790E/A and TS-2000, the ICOM transceivers IC-820, IC-821 and IC- 910H, IC-9100 and also other ICOM receivers and transmitters that use the same CAT protocol (e.g., the IC-275 and IC-475). In VFO mode all radios supported by SatPC32 can be tuned via the Vfo knob as well as via the PC keyboard and mouse in selectable frequency steps of 20 Hz, 100 Hz, 500 Hz, 1 kHz, and 5 kHz (execept the FT-736, which can be tuned only with the keyboard and mouse). As of our knowledge, no other satellite program supports simultaneously all methods of tuning at this time.

The programs run on IBM-compatible PCs on Windows 95/98, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 and Windows XP/Vista. As far as we know, SatPC32 and Wisat32 are the only 32-bit programs currently available that provide rotor control with the IF-100 and RifPC and rotor and frequency control with the Kansas City Tracker/Tuner under WinNT 4.0, Windows 2000 and Windows XP.

The programs support the large fonts that can be selected at screen resolutions of 800 * 600 or higher.

With the following link you can download the complete manual of SatPC32 and Wisat32 as a PDF file with aditionally screenshots in the text for easier understanding. You may download the history file from which you can see all new features of the latest version.

The module WinAOS is included in the SatPC32 package, too. It is similar to the freeware program AOS.EXE V 2.5 (see above) but runs under Windows and is more versatile.

The module WinListen is included in the SatPC32 package, too. This program reads Keplerian element files in the AMSAT verbose or the NASA 2-line format, and computes pass start and finish times for one satellite or for several. It outputs a list in chronological order for any time period. The list can be displayed on the screen, printed, or stored in a file.

If you wish to try it out first, you may wish to download a demo version from the internet (31 MB). Tthe demoversion is fully functional. However, you cannot save your location parameters but have to enter them at every program start. You may wish to look at this text file to see how to handle the download.

If you like to register the program you may enter your order above with the Order No. 119a. You will then receive a register code by e-mail with which you can delete the limitations of the demo version and have a full functional program. The register code is also valid for all future updates.

SatPC32 is also available from AMSAT-NA and AMSAT-UK

WiSP32 by G7UPN/ZL2TPO
Order no.: 147, € 15.00

This program is a must for operating the digital satellites like UO-22 and KO- 23. It performs all necessary tasks of downloading, uploading, reading messages, sorting all files in respective subdirectories, and tracking on a world map. It runs under Windows 95/98 and NT 4. It allows multitasking for simultaneous uploading and downloading. WiSP32 is Y2k proof with the latest GSC.exe from version 2.03 on, but you should have updated your Windows with the Year2000 update, which is available from Microsoft. Installation of Internet Explorer version 5.0 is also recommended. If you have problems with station setup entries, you need these updates. You may also download the latest version of WiSP32 from the AMSAT-NA FTP site .
A fine supplement program comes from CX6DD , called WiSPDDE . It polls data for rotor and frequency control via the DDE interface of WiSP32 and supports rotor interfaces like the IF100 and GS-232, and radios including the Yaesu FT-847 and FT-736R, ICOM IC821, IC970, IC746, IC275, IC475, ICR7000, ICR8500, and PCR1000, and AOR AR8000 and AR5000. You may download the latest version of the program from the author's web site (about 400K).
